Re: The perils of play
Another oddity playing with gradients. I was creating a new gradient. In a number of cases I got an error box (which I should have copied) saying that the xxx.dat file could not be created. At that point the gradient associated with the brush (blue going to black) disappeared from the available choi...

Re: The perils of play
I should note that in the posting above this only occurs on Workspace 3. Another oddity. I realize that few people probably are playing as I do. If you select a form and then press the square within a dotted circle on the forms panel, you bring up a panel that allows you to flip the image and rotate...

Re: The perils of play
Another oddity. Starting Paintstorm using Workspace 3. Color panel is large and on left side. Move it away and resize. No other changes, click on HSV. Paintstorm goes into a loop. End task via task manager. Repeat. Same result. Start again, same but clock on RGB. RGB sliders show up, then click HSV,...

Re: The perils of play
I'll save the Paintstorm Studio directory elsewhere in the event you want to look at something in it before I restore.

The perils of play
While it can only be described as play, I've continued to experiment with, at this point, making Paintstorm inoperable. On startup, I get the "Error: See log" at which point it terminates. What was I doing at the time to create this situation? It could have been a number of things. I was experimenti...

Problems with Sets of brush forms
Can not save bfpack at: C:\Users\...\Paintstorm Studio\Brush/Packs/Extra2/740524338.dat Was creating and deleting "Set of forms:" folders and sets within them from single forms. Eventually got to the point where I could not select a set of forms or switch folders. On exiting, got this error. Extra2 ...

Adding forms and textures - part 2
I think I may have answered my own question. If you select the first form in a folder, then import a new form, the new form will go in the selected folder. If on the other hand you have it set to any other form in the folder other than the first, the new form will go elsewhere (it looks to be in the...

Adding forms and textures
Perhaps I don't understand how these functions work but I seem to get somewhat unpredictable results. I've created a new folder for both forms and textures (actually a number for folders for forms). I go to add a new form (or texture) but there is no way to indicate which folder the form or texture ...

Set of forms includes an oddity
When I chose a set of forms (say Leafs 1), with the "set of forms" based on Stroke Direction at 100%, and sufficient spacing to separate the forms, on occasion I get a form out of another set - I think out of the Dots large set in my case. Presumably some math that yields an incorrect offset into an...
