'colour to alpha' for traditional scanned art import?

Post by Blendie » Sun Dec 30, 2018 2:15 am

Hello :)
Is it possible to import a scan of traditional art, and remove all but the actual image/lines?

I've found the answer ... thanks for the Paintstorm Notes pdf :)

(selected with lasso)
choose selection/color range
play with sliders and invert ... goes to transparent
then duplicate, and the duplicated layer is transparent and can be exported
export as png/psd

You can also use a new filter: Menu-Filters-Luma to Alpha
