PSS not working properly on Linux(KDE neon) with dual monitors:

Post by okuma_10 » Fri Dec 13, 2019 10:10 am

Hi.
Recently decided to start using Linux instead of Windows. I was happy that PSS and Krita are available for Linux.
But I have few issues.
  • First the installation guide on the website is insufficient. Should be updated with the info from the forum about the GLEW part. When I installed it and tried to run it I didn't got any error message, nor did the terminal popped up. I had to explicitly run the software from terminal to get the error.
  • Secondly, it has issues with pen pressure. I have a wacom intuos pro(PTH660), and out of the box the pen pressure didn't work. Even though I have the wacom drivers, and the tablet works perfectly in Krita. I did the trick where you reinstall the drivers-that fixed the pen pressure thing, but after I restarted it's back being broken again.
  • Third, because I have dual monitor setup, PSS loads oddly

also there is a brush lag or maybe offset (maybe due to the dual monitor), which is disappointing, because on my windows boot, PSS had the fastest brush engine compared to Krita or Photoshop. Now I have to rely on Krita for painting.
Just to report the issue.
