For those familiar with patterns and tileables, you might be aware there's a tool called Pyxel Edit which is a pixel art editor. One of its neat features is the ability to create tileable patterns within the boundaries of the canvas and preview them quickly to see if they fit.

Basically you work on your fixed area but the software automatically shows the tiled preview so you can fix any seams on your tileable.
