Remember layer when loading file

Post by lucdenkov » Wed Oct 11, 2017 4:53 pm

Hey, so this is a very minor suggestion but one that personally would improve the feel of the program. Currently upon loading a file it defaults to the bottom layer rather than the layer that was selected when the file was saved, so I sometimes open up a file and start painting on the wrong layer by accident. It's not a big deal at all but I think it would be nice if it'd remember which layer you were working on when saving the file :)

I suggest you get used to "fast layer selection" (default:space+a). When you'll get used it several times - you'll automatically click-select on a layer before starting to draw.

Shortcut of course works fine. However it point only top layer. If I worked on lower layer and don't remember which exact pixels were on it, i would to lost my time to search the layer. So it would be nice if PaintStorm could remember last layer you were working on when saving the file, as lucdenkov said. It would be helpful when you have many complex layers.
