Tool Highlight

Post by DaveB » Thu Oct 04, 2018 2:49 pm

I'm coming from Paint Tool SAI and Clip Studio Paint, so unlike a Photoshop user, I have almost every key on my keyboard mapped to a different drawing tool. (Photoshop users have "B" mapped to brush and that's it) I think I have F, R, T, Y, ], \, D, A and N mapped to different tool palettes, so I'm used to quickly switching between them with keyboard shortcuts.

The reason I preamble my request with this info is that I'm trying to set up a bunch of shortcuts in Paintstorm so I don't have to relearn my workflow, but when you hit a keyboard shortcut in Paintstorm, the tool palette doesn't update and show you which tool you have selected. It might if you're already on that palette and you're switching between tools and both are visible, but if you switch to a tool that's further down the list or on a different palette, you can't see what you have selected, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but it can be a little disorienting. If you're using a tool it should be visibly selected.
