Unable to run PSS 1.5? Here is fix

Hi, I just installed PSS 1.5 on my windows 7 x64 PC, and it won't start. Cursor is displaying 'thinking' icon, but PSS wont load (it is also not present it task manager), but it is locking 'widows explorer window' or 'start menu', depending from which place I tried to run it.
I found the problem was anti-virus software - I added PSS to exceptions and starts ok works. Maybe this will be usefull to you guys.
But there is still problem in PSS 1.5 - it is hard to enter custom hotkey in hotkey editor. I found the solution to be clicking few times in hotkey input field. I guess this bug may risen from conflict with hew list 'scrolling' method. But I'm not sure.

Bind Hotkey: just click little faster - in paintstorm double click faster then standard.
What antivirus do you use?

Yep, but I have to click really fasst.
I use avast Internet Security, but previously I had no problem with PSS and Avast. just this time.

Jose and guys from support ,. hi there ..
Im running desktop pc , windows 7 64, avast free antivirus.
Im another one who is having problems to load/run Pintstorm (I purchaced Paintstorm 2 days ago ) but since yesterday from midd day till today when I double click to open/run it .. that was not possible.
after I double click ,..program start to load (paint storm initial logo text box "Paintstorm is loading" pop ups ) but then white big screen.. and nothing happens just windows dialog box if I start to try to close it from taskbar ..
I tried what Jose suggested , and from 7 tries since then, in only one try it did it again .. all the other times it loaded without problem .
pd: I really like paintstorm (Im coming from photshop corel painter and Opan canvas.) hope you keep pushing all this through ...
you did an amazing program here .. I totally support you guys !

I've been having the same issue (application opens as a frozen, white screen)
My specs:
CPU: AMD FX 6300
Memory: 16GB
OS: Win 8.1
GPU: AMD 7870
I found, at least for me, that it loads correctly if you turn on compatibility mode. Mine is set to Win 8, but I assume for a Win 7 system, you would set it to Win 7. Hope this helps someone.
