Pen Pressure for Surface Pro 3

Post by jcollinge » Sat Jun 04, 2016 4:05 pm

I have asked support about Surface Pro 3 pen pressure, and was told that some users have gotten this to work.

Anyone have any answer to that?

I found another thread that suggested to have an answer, but the driver was for a tablet PC (which the surface is not considered and I could not download the driver) and my other apps such as Photoshop and Art Rage work fine.

I think those apps use n-trig drivers as the pen is not a wacom technology.

Any suggestions? I feel it may not be supported by the software.

Not sure if this will apply to the Pro 3, but I just got the Pro 4 and installing the latest WinTab drivers got pen pressure working flawlessly in Painstorm. Just remember to disable flicks/gestures in Pen & Touch settings as it seems to interfere with making strokes

Installing the latest WinTab drivers fixed pressure for my Surface Pro 4. I had to disable pen & touch flicks after that though.
