Some Brushes are very slow!

Hi there,

My favorite brush, the Round Camel Hair Brush, is very slow. Document size is 3500 pixels square. I'm on a dual XEON hexacore PC with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 video card and 48GB Ram. Paintstorm is installed on an SSD drive.

Paintstorm Version: 1.60-180516

OS: Windows 7, 64 bit.
Input Device: Wacom Intuos II

Are there any good ways to speed-up Paintstorm? Here are some thoughts, but please if you would chime-in with best practices if I missed something;

1. Work with smaller docs. I could do this. I'd prefer not to but it's an option.
2. Faster video card. Would this make a difference? Does Paintstorm employ heavy use of the GPU?
3. Faster CPU. Not really an option right now.

What do you all recommend?

Thanks!

round camel hair is setup to details drawing, it's a favorite Anry (http://anry.deviantart.com/) brush in corel painter and it's a popular brush. If you increase brush size you need to decrease "feature" parameter. If it's works slow at the default size you can test which parameter getting slow for you - disable all modifiers in sequence and see what will happened.
