Color palette Library

Post by gregg2g » Tue Jan 30, 2018 2:38 pm

I created a new Library color palette and tried to SAVE to my desktop. It does not work. There is nothing saved.

I tried to upload a .ASE file to this forum and I was told it did not recognize it. So this really has got me puzzled. I can't save a library file and I can't upload a .ASE file.

Not responding to my concerns does not help me understand if there is something wrong, either with me or the program. It would be nice to have quick responses to our concerns. I don't know if something is going to be fixed or not.

Hello,
I just tested, I could save without problems and I imported a file "ase" a large pantone palette and no problem on that side either.

Again, using Mac OS version of Paintstorm Studio, I tried to SAVE library palette, choose my DESKTOP and typed ".paintstorm" after file name in the dialog box. Then hit "save" button and nothing is saved. I'm using Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.3 and PaintStorm Studio version 2.20.150118.
If you are able to do it, I don't know what is wrong.
And I just tried to upload a .ase adobe file to this forum, it said it did not recognize it. The same file that my software program Paintstorm Studio does recognize.

What file types you can or cannot upload to a forum has nothing to do with Paintstorm Studio and everything to do with the forum software they are using. In this case, it's phpBB. Typically, attachments are things like images, PDF, doc files, and sometimes ZIP files. It all depends on what they are allowing. If you want someone to have access to your ASE file, then you should either ZIP it or upload it somewhere and provide a link to it here in the forum.

Thank you SilverSurfer1221. Yes, your right. I was trying to show the correlations between the Paintstorm software and the forum software. If you can use .ase in Paintstorm, I would think you would have a way of being able to upload it to the forum so others cans use the file. Seeing that I could not use .ase, I then thought I would save the installed swatch file in Paintstorm, so maybe, I could upload that file type. But then, I can't save the file, because there is something going on with Paintstorm's saving swatches on the Mac. A Catch 22.....so to say.
I don't think I will go through the process of making zip files or whatever. I'll wait until things get fixed. Again, thank you for the feed back.
