Folder Opacity only adds Opacity for individual layers

Folder Transparency sets transparency for individual layers.

Expected behavior: The group should act as "one" layer and have it's own Opacity instead of adding Opacity value to individual layers.

Paintstorm's folder opacity only adds opacity value to individual layers. I can't think of any situation where this would be useful as it makes all the colors overlaps each other.

Expected behavior is to have it be acting like a layer itself.

Yes, layer system is a little different than in photoshop. But anyway you can get required effect by a folder mask: Create mask, fill it by black and then change mask opacity ;)

Hello, the behavior is the same for Multiply applied to a grouping layers folder. I color on scanned drawing and multiply should preserve the reference layer (the drawing). It works for single layer but if you apply Multiply to a folder, the layers in the folder won’t respect Multiply relative to single reference layer.
So, it seems that the folders properties have no consequence on the layers they group. It’s just a broken function.
