You’ve registered Paintstorm, but it’s asked to register again

Paintstorm send HID(Hardware id) generate from PC motherboard and HDD serial numbers to our servers, and, for example, if you change Hard disk – HID will be changed too. But sometimes it changes for an unknown reason.

To solve it:
Deactivate previous HID in the login area. Details: http://www.paintstormstudio.com/help/registrationfaq/transfer/

If it repeats every PC reboot, write to info@paintstormstudio.com


You see message what some DLL not found

The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.

The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install.

Solution:
1)Install Windows Updates:
Go to Start – Control Panel – Windows Update
Check for updates
Install all available updates.
After the updates are installed, restart your computer.
After the restart repeat the steps above again until no more updates are available.

2)Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:

For Windows 64-bit

For Windows 32-bit
http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/3/F/93FCF1E7-E6A4-478B-96E7-D4B285925B00/vc_redist.x86.exe

Run the vcredist_x64.exe (64-bit) or vcredist_x86.exe (32-bit) and select Uninstall
Run the .exe again and select Install

Paintstorm works before but now stop working, you can restore it to a clean state. To do it, you must manually delete Paintstorm documents and settings folder:

for Windows: “/Documents/Paintstorm Studio/”
for MAC OS: “~/Library/Application Support/Paintstorm Studio/”

Attention: after deleting this folder all custom settings will be lost


PC is too hot

Usually, this issue can appear in MacBooks.

Solution: Disable checkbox at Menu-File-Options-Perfomace-“Use multi-cores”

Also better enable: Menu-File-Options-OpenGL-Enable V-sync

Disable checkbox at Menu-File-Tablet settings-Enable pen-revert eraser
