Oh okay... I just wanted there be a way to change the transparency of a layer.

I tried changing the transparency of a layer I added over an image, because when I add a new layer ontop it just appears clear as if nothing was added. I tried adjusting the opacity slider, but all it does is change the transparancy of the color I'm working with... I want to actually see each layer ...
