Hello everyone,
Recently my home computer just died and it is finally that time when I direly need to get an upgrade. I will decide on the budget I can affor after figuring out some options.
The ideal scenario would be if I could smoothly work with PSS on large canavas (4k resolution and up) with multiple layers while running some audio mixing software and OBS for streaming in background.
Do you guys have specific any suggestions for the best possible experience?
My guess is the most imprtant things are GPU, CPU and amount of RAM? I am not even sure what I should start from looking at.
Update:
Currently the build that I am looking at has -
Processor
i7-7700k
Graphics Card
GTX 1080
Motherboard
Asus Prime Z270-A
Storage
Samsung 960 EVO 250 GB, SSD
Western Digital Purple 2TB Variable RPM,
Memory
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8x2GB 3000MHz
Power Supply
Cooler Master GM series 650W, 80Plus Bronze, Semi modular,
Single +12V Rail/ Inteligent 120mm FAN/ High efficiency up to 88%
Case
Fractal Design R5
Optical Drive
None
CPU Cooler
SILENTIUMPC Grandis 2 XE1436

Re: Need help creating a new PC build for optimal performance
OBS don't give much effect... I've tried to save 2560x1440 60fps and Paintstorm worked same as always, the only my PC coolers was faster
What about Paintstorm - if you most uses simple brushes - you don't need very powerful PC, current engine allows to draw without lags with Graphic cards like "Geforce gtx 760" (it's already old card) But if you most uses bristle brushes like Oil-style - it better works without GPU and more depends on CPU... What about RAM - 8 GB is more than enough if you work with one soft. But for example, if you launch together 3dmax, photoshop, Paintstorm, ZBrush - 16 GB will be better choice anyway, RAM is not very expensive.

Thank you very much for the reply. It's great that I can go through with much cheaper options that I initally anticipated!
