What is the save location of iPad version?

I note that the iPad version allows you to save documents to a folder called 'iTunes'.
This does not seem to be the iPads 'Photos' collection, nor anywhere in iCloud (or anywhere at all that I can find).

So, my question is: where does it save and how can I get to images I create? Can I import images from anywhere? Can I export? Am I missing something?
