After 24 hours trying to get windows update [windows 8.1] to work, http://download.wsusoffline.net solved that, through bypassing windows update to install updates anyway. Vital for security, and because PSS wouldn't run due to needing visual C++ proper install. All Microsoft's fault, and many posts online about many softwares and games over recent months getting the same error message I got constantly when trying to run PSS today, after formatting the pc ... about api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1.0.dll missing. This is a dll file in visual C++, but the only version of that I've found that has at last completed the full install and enabled me to run PSS is via this page: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/the ... f2702.html. And, since I'm in here anyways, I may as well add in that (thankfully) I found http://www.workrave.org, which alerts about micro pauses and rests, and even runs a little window with exercises to do in rests. Probably too tired to paint after all this, lol, but it'll be even better heaven after rest.
