Paintstorm running extremely slow, lagging

Hey I just downloaded paintstorm recently, but it's running very slow on my computer. I have a widows 10, 64 bit, 8 GB ram Asus. My computer can sometimes be slow with other programs but nothing like the amount of lag in paintstorm. My file really isn't that big and the lag is the worst with brush size up and when I have stabilizer on, but I need to be able to scale up my brushes as much as possible. Does anyone know what I can fix to help the lag?
