How can I adjust the brush around the cursor like Knife Textured?

My brush form appears above my cursor when Knife Textured is selected.
If I pick any other brush thats not similar to the KT brush, the form will be centered on the cursor. What adjusts this?
If I had a custom form to the knife texture, it appears above the cursor so it doesnt seem form related. Cant find the setting.
