Random pressure sensitivity loss

Hello there. Recently I've noticed Painstorm Studio losing pressure sensitivity at random intervals during use. I've managed to successfully "solve" the issue by alt-tabbing in and out of the program. So far it seems this problem happens more often if I launch the program with the mouse instead of the stylus.
I'm using PS 2.21, Windows 7, Wacom Intuos pro (1st gen), Wacom drivers version 636-3.
