Is there a way to make your own brush?

just click on a "new" brush icon (left-bottom corner of the brushes panel) - this action creates a copy of the currently selected brush, then change anything and "save as default brush".

No, I do not mean a copy, but my own creation. So a whole new brush.

And as the support told you, it starts from a copy of an existing brush that you will deeply (or not) custom as you want.
To my mind, the brush panel is one of the most effective and instinctive compare to the most common digital painting softwares (Photoshop included).
