Assisted Drawing Tools (Circles, Ellipses, Grid, Parallel Lines)

Post by cgmodeler » Mon May 18, 2015 4:51 pm

There's one feature that i've found really useful when drawing with AzDrawing.

After you select one "ruler" mode, it automatically snaps the lines into the defined shape or grid.

1. Parallel lines
By clicking ALT+Drag, you define the direction of the line, then all the lines you draw will be parallel

2. Grid
After you ALT+ Drag the orientation of the grid, then all the lines will snap a grid

3. Concentric circles or Ellipses
ALT+Drag and define either the pivot to snap the circles from, or the shape of the ellipse.
Then all the lines will snap to the circle's pivot or the ellipse angle

Note. You can even save presets of the rulers to be used afterwards.

Also, once you paint, the pressure is detected so you can switch between soft or hard strokes.

That's great!.

In the meantime, perhaps this could be of help.

Here's some of the source code for AzDrawing functions, the developer stopped working on it for windows and moved to Linux, however she released some code.
