Cursor offset

Post by Froggy » Sun Jul 19, 2015 10:33 am

Hey there. :)
(I sent a PM on the contact, but in case someone else has the same problems...)

First, I want to say how much I love Paintstorm, AWESOME!!! :)))))

Now, I bought it yesterday, and I just can't use it, doesn't work with my Cintiq 21UX (last drivers, tried with older ones too)

The CURSOR is OFFSET. I think it might be related to your '2 screens bug correction', cos' I uninstalled it and re-installed the first 'TRY' version I had (V1.26) which works PERFECTLY!!! (Tried 2 times the process), but nope, V1.32 doesn't work at all, while old version works great!

Sometimes (rarely, and for a couple of seconds only), the cursor is on the right position, but in that case, I have no Pressure, as if it had become a mouse. :(

Now, the thing is, I don't have 2 monitors, just ONE, which is the Cintiq!!!!!!! (can't try other configurations then, as often suggested. ;) )

I really hope you'll be able to fix it, cos' now I'm forced to work with old version. :(

Also, when I hit ALT TAB and come back, the tool becomes an eraser, and other weird behaviors, basically the same that many other users have.

P.S. Also, not important, but can't make 'Q' stroke working. Actually, I don't know what it's supposed to do (something with surface relation with tablet, could be the problem...), but when I type 'Q', it just almost randomly switches between Brush and Eraser. Very strange...

Have a great day nonetheless. :)
Cheers.
Emmanuel.

Specs: Intel I7, Quadro FX4800, Cintiq 21UX, 24 G ram... I use more than 80 applications (2D, 3D, Music...), not a single problem with any of them, just yours, which I repeat, works perfectly with old V1.26 ;)

You need try to change tablet engine:
1)Open file: Documents\Paintstorm studio\Data\forcetablet.txt
2)Change 5th number from 0 to 2(and after to 1)
3)Save this file and run the Paintstorm Studio.

Also you can change 6th number to disable eraser on pen revert - it can fix your alt+tab issue.
