Bug with custom panel v1.71 iPad pro

Think I've found a weird bug since the new update. I use a custom panel with a few items on it. One of them being the brush opacity. When I close paintstorm and open it again the opacity slider has changed to read "strength" and the icon for control settings is missing. Happens over and over again, but only if I close the app or it crashes. Not when just swapping between apps.

Ive attached a couple of screen shots showing the issue.

Just out of curiosity, what is the proper way to close the app on an iPad? Use file menu then exit?
Is the ui and brush changes saved only on exit?
