Mouse pointer lost when importing fill pattern

When importing a new fill pattern, the mouse pointer is lost when the file browser window shows up.
OSX 10.14.2
Paintstorm 2.31-151018

move the mouse out of Paintstorm window and back - the cursor will appear.

It appears behind the file window but does not appear in front of it. Nothing I do will bring the mouse pointer in "front" of the file window.
