Where is the clear canvas action?

There's no special clear canvas action, you can create a new document, or select all and delete, also you can create a new layer and delete previous.

I spotted Select All... No chance to see a delete function anywhere...

You can enable "Delete from selection" hot-button . (Or also you can use CUT function.)

A clear canvas function would be most welcome.
