Script NOT working

Hi, I am quite frustrated with the "script" feature.
It is very important to me to be able to record a timelapse of my work. I have been trying to use the script and then record the screen to capture the timelapse, as it was suggested in this forum. This is the result of that process. One of them is the finished painting I made, and the other one is a screenshot of the recording when the script "replicates" my history. I get all kinds of errors as you can see. The white rectangles, the ears are left with previous brushstrokes that when then painted over and most inexplicably, when i create multiply layers it creates that dark brush effect that is nowhere to be seen in the actual painting.
Why would the script replicate a different image from what I made?
I'm a big user of Paintstorm, but it has become so unreliable that it makes my work buggy and slow. Everytime I merge layers it crashes.
Would love to get some ideas on how to record a timelapse.
Thank you
