Memory protection violation

Hi folx,
I use Paintstorm for a couple of years on both systems (Windows and Linux). I have installed updated, recent version (2.42).
Something has changed for some time as I noticed PAINSTORM doesn't start in Linux (Mint Cinammon 19.2 with all updated, etc.).
When starting It only "blinks" and won't run anymore. When I try to examine it from terminal, it jus wrote: "Memory protection violation".
Is there a way to fix it and have Paintstorm on Linux OK again?
P.S. Other paint programs like Krita or Gimp work flawlessly at this time on my system.
