PSD file resolution

The usual file format I usually draw on is A4 sized with 300 resolution in psd format.
Saving file as .PSD will downscale the resolution from 300 to 72, the only way to keep the original resolution is by saving it to .PSS format.
Even if I originally draw it on different software (PS,CSP) and save it on 300 resolution, I can open it on PSS just fine with original resolution until I saved it, close it and open again, it will convert to 72 resolution.
