Clear the layer...

How to? I've been looking for days and can't find it..does it exist?

ctrl+a, del, ctrl+d

select all, delete, deselect

to fill layer use "alt+backspace"

You can use the script pallet to record the actions for it, then click the wrench icon on a custom pallet and move a copy of the script play button there. Then hitting that button will do all 3 of those things. I wish it was possible to assign hotkeys to scripts, that would take care of this really quickly. I also miss having a clear layer function.

I'm just using the trash can icon and the new layer icon to reduce the hassle. Not very clean, but easier...
