Copy merged

Hi.
I often work with many many layers. Some have Layer Effects on them. So sometimes if i merge all layers those effects go wrong.
Sometimes a layer effect would refer to a layer underneath which isnt there anymore. So what i basically need would be "Copy Merged"-Function (a screenshot if you will ) and the possibility to paste all that goodness in a new layer.

Is there another way to work around that?

ctrl+alt+shift+e - merge all visible into new layer.
