Custom cursors

I apologize for making a feature suggestion my first post.

Why:

I use a 4K screen, and the default cursors (arrow, dot, crosshair) appear extremely tiny for me.
In my experience, hand-eye co-ordination, drawing speed, accuracy and ease improves when the cursor is larger and more visible. Especially important for graphics tablet users, their only point of reference for where they're aiming is the cursor on the screen.
I'd love to make a multi-colored cursor, so I can have a black outline and white body for visibility against black/white environments.
I'd love to make a larger dot cursor, and also a large thicker crosshair with a gap in the middle.
Extra: I don't know if this is possible with the .cur format, but perhaps some user want opacity?

P.S. Maybe this is already possible? I played around with the cursor folder but I couldn't get a non-default .cur to work
