mirror settings

I always set the mirror tool to the following settings:
Number of mirrors: 1
Duplications: 0

But quite often when I restart the software to continue working the mirror is automatically set to this:
Number of mirrors: 5
Duplications: 3

So I have to change the settings almost every time I restart the software. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out when this happens exactly or what the possible reason might be, but it happens so often, that it became quite annoying over the last months.
Any ideas on that? Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I think they set it to that by default to emphasize the number of options you have with the tool.
It is the same for me.
