Paintstorm won't run on Linux Fedora

The last working version is 2.32 which runs perfect (OGL acceleration etc.) but I can no longer activate it ("Bad e-mail address" window pops up).

Specs:
OS: Fedora 30 Thirty
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 5.2.17-200.fc30.x86_64
CPU: Intel Core i7-6500U @ 4x 3.1GHz
GPU: Mesa DRI Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 (Skylake GT2)
RAM: 3074MiB / 7759MiB

I checked with Live images of Ubuntu 16 and 19 but it seems to work fine so the hardware is probably not an issue.

This is how far I can go... Making it work probably requires alerting the source code and some advanced debugging.
