I can see some kind of wiggle, only when setting an offset on the custom form map. "Reset" eliminates the wiggle, but also resets the offset. My goal is to offset a cone style brush form to simulate an airbrush spray effect. It wiggles the same amount regardless of offset size, so I wonder if there is a varying positive negative value somewhere related to form mirroring?
In the picture are two strokes with offset and two with offset reset.
The smaller stroke is more noticeably erratic than the larger one.
Love this software! Good luck!
PS thinking about how offset, if it can be modulated by a transition function, could create some interesting rolling effects, just like another popular ipad painting app...
Custom brush form offset may be erratic?

Re: Custom brush form offset may be erratic?
Sorry, yes and no. The offset works as expected.
There is a problem in the form offset that creates slight striations due to an erratic or uneven spacing. The unwanted effect is like a tiny scatter applied to stroke. It's subtle and unnoticable for patterns, but problematic for smooth shading.
As soon as you reset the offset, the striations are eliminated.
You can see a marked difference in the brush preview when any offset is applied to a form.
Picture of "form offset" function provided for clarification.

Re: Custom brush form offset may be erratic?
Here is a preview of a triangular form, one with no offset, and one with offset applied. Note the erratic striations when offset is applied.
Good luck- looks like a complex equation to deal with spacing.
