I've lost all brushes when I imported one

I purchased only days ago.
I imported a pencil brush and thought I was following the schematic at the top of the custom brushes column of posts. When I revisited the example import instruction I see that my eye followed the bright red arrow to the word "replace" and maybe I was supposed to click "add".

In any event, I now cannot find any of my original brushes.

How do I get them back?

Right click at the brushes panel - last item: Reset all brushes

I had figured it out fairly soon after, but due to the delay in posts appearing, I didn't want to confuse future readers in case there were some answers in the pipeline which hadn't appeared.
