Beautiful sketch. How did you get his pencil brushes to work? I cannot get them to in Version 2.
Re: sketching pencil brush
Hello, and thanks.
I just purchased the app this month for iPad and under "about" it states that I am using version 1.72-051216, so I am not sure if this makes a difference. However, I simply clicked Libor's generous link, saved the pencil brush to Dropbox, then followed the instructions in the post at the top of the column of the "custom brushes" section here. Just be sure to click "add brush" and not "replace brush" which, if clicked, when viewed too hastily or lazily, as I had done, you will gain the pencil brush and lose all your factory brushes. If you do end up accidentally doing this, it is remedied simply by navigating, in the brushes panel, to the gear icon at lower right, panning down, and selecting "reset all brushes", then following the directions mentioned above by selecting the "add brush" instead of "replace brush".
It's a good pencil in its pencily texture. It is generally chisel shaped, and orients the chiselness to the direction of the pencil, which is preferable to it always being at one angle respective to the picture plane. I'd like to tinker with brush making so I could have one just like it but without the chisel shape.
Here is another done with this brush:

Re: sketching pencil brush
Thanks Plush. I am not using iPad and am using version 2. I know that version 2 made changes to all the default brushes so maybe this has something to do with it. Thanks for your reply. Right now I will just try to customize some of the default pencils in version 2 until I find out more what happened.

You can find "Dynamic pencil" in the 1st category brushes of version 2.0 - if you can't find it, try to reset this category brushes.michaelws wrote:Beautiful sketch. How did you get his pencil brushes to work? I cannot get them to in Version 2.
