I'm running paintstorm 2.21 on a surface pro (the 5th gen one) using the newer pen and I've already got wintab (64 bit) installed, but my brushes paint as if they're going from 0-100% pressure in a fraction of a second, no matter what brush setting or global pressure setting I use. If I make a stroke there is a very, very small taper at the start so I don't think it's stuck at 100% (compared to the touch pad which is 100% pressure immediately and has no taper) but after that it's just at full pressure.
When I searched for this problem, other people were saying to install wintab drivers... but since I have that already, I can't find any way to fix this yet, and I can't use the program this way.
No pressure sensitivity on surface pro
Re: No pressure sensitivity on surface pro
Which part? I've already got wintab from there, and the other stuff is for the previous generation of surface and won't install.
I've tried removing wintab, at which point the brief taper disappears and the strokes are at 100% from the beginning just like the touch-pad. When I install it again, they go back to having a brief taper before hitting 100%.
I'll try to attach an example of what it does with wintab installed. These are the basic round brush and the blend brush at their default settings. I'm only pressing just enough to reach the activation pressure.

Re: No pressure sensitivity on surface pro
Check version 1.72: http://www.paintstormstudio.com/Paintst ... 72_x64.exe
if it works well I can guess what's the issue reason.

Re: No pressure sensitivity on surface pro
The problem with pressure still exists there, but now something else went wrong as well in the older version:
When the colour selected is purely black, and the brush is configured to make a solid stroke, it painted in about 125,125,125 grey instead. And when I sampled that and tried to paint, it showed a middle grey value in the colour selector but actually painted a faded red stroke instead.
