Lose control when closing image

Post by satopian » Sat Apr 18, 2020 3:16 pm

I am plagued by the problem of being out of control, unable to enter keys, and unable to operate with the mouse.
This happens when I try to close the image after saving it with a different name (Eg jpeg format).
Paintstorm Studio seems to be running in Task Manager.
My guess is that Paintstorm Studio is waiting for some input.
However, neither [esc] nor the [OK] and [Cancel] clicks respond.
The same applies to the [OK] and [Cancel] buttons displayed on the top bar as well as the save confirmation dialog.
This issue did not occur in v2.42.

I'm not sure why the upper bar says [OK] and [Cancel].
This is because we have not performed any operation that would cause that display.
Is this a Issue only in my environment? Does anyone else have the same Issue?

P.S.
This happens occasionally, but I don't know how to reproduce it.
It does not always occur when closing an image.

OS
Windows10 1909.

Is it a fullscreen mode? Try same in window (default) mode.

Is it a fullscreen mode?
I'm not in full screen mode to switch by pressing F11.
The size of the captured image is full size because I am using "Hide Windows 10 taskbar automatically".
When I move the mouse down, the taskbar appears. I don't think the taskbar is visible when Paintstorm Studio is in full screen mode.

In my environment, the yes, no, and cancel buttons at the time of closing the screen remain unresponsive, and the phenomenon that Paintstorm Studio must be terminated with the task manager continues.
It seems that it occurs when you save the drawn picture in PNG format and close the screen repeatedly. I didn't have this Issue when I saved it in PSD format.
I realized there was one.
When you click the Yes, No, Cancel button, the cursor disappears.
This confirmation dialog could not be clicked?

P.S.
When I move the mouse down the taskbar appears and in other apps the cursor appears.
The cursor disappears only on the Paintstorm Studio screen.

The same issue occurs with version 2.46.
Open multiple tabs, sketch and close the tabs.
Then, the confirmation buttons of "Yes", "No", and "Cancel" are displayed.
However, there are times when I want to press a button but I can't.
If some tabs have unsaved images, there is no way to save them.
No matter which mouse and keyboard you use, Paintstorm will not respond.
I have this problem when I have many tabs open and have been working for several hours.
Operate to close one tab.
Paintstorm will be inoperable.
I have multiple images on multiple tabs, but I can't save other images.
Paintstorm seems to work in Task Manager.
Paintstorm is waiting for input, but it doesn't seem to be able to input.

Inoperable for the third time today.
Paintstorm has become inoperable on the Yes, No, and Cancel screens.
The mouse cursor no longer appears in Paintstorm.
In other apps, the mouse cursor will display fine.

This issue also occurs in v2.47. I recorded a video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYY2lsUarvw

I posted a video on YouTube.
The issues occurred in 3 minutes and 19 seconds.
Nothing happens when I click the yes, no, cancel screen.
Other operations cannot be performed.
I can only close the app in Task Manager.

The "Yes, No, Cancel" button is displayed, but the document has been saved in png format.
I don't know if it's related, but I haven't had this problem yet with png saves using the new export.

Re: Procedure for reproducing issues that can not do anything with Yes, no, Cancel

Post by satopian » Wed Apr 14, 2021 10:59 am

I re-recorded the video of the procedure that caused the issues.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fCBp98pVos

I thought it was an issue when I opened a lot of tabs.
However, issues also occurred when there was only one open tab.

Procedure for reproducing this issue.

1.ctrl + s
A screen will appear asking if you want to save.
2. Cancel.

3. Use ctrl + w to close the tab.
"Do you want to save?"
"Yes, No, Cancel" screen appears.
4. Nothing can be operated except to exit with the task manager.

If I accidentally perform these steps, I can't save the documents on the other tabs either.
The document is not saved and must be found and restored from Autosave.
